Durrington's Christmas Concert Delivers Festive Cheer!
On Sunday, 1st December, Durrington Walls Wind Band and Durrington Community Choir brought Christmas magic to Durrington with a concert that left the audience on their feet! The spectacular event was filled with carols, captivating music, and a sense of joy and community spirit.
A Stellar Performance:
The performers shone under the direction of Hannah Sandu, leading the Durrington Community Choir, and John Ashton Jones, the conductor for Durrington Walls Wind Band. A special nod goes to Peter Eve, whose dedication as a player and organiser played a pivotal role in the concert's success.
Community Generosity:
Sue Paines deserves special recognition for her efforts in raising £150 through a raffle to support Christmas presents for Durrington Ward at Salisbury District Hospital—a beautiful gesture of holiday kindness.
A Team Effort:
Thanks are extended to Avon Valley Academy for providing the venue and to the many behind-the-scenes volunteers who offered refreshments and contributed to creating the perfect festive atmosphere.
