Durrington's Christmas Concert Delivers Festive Cheer!

On Sunday, 1st December, Durrington Walls Wind Band and Durrington Community Choir brought Christmas magic to Durrington with a concert that left the audience on their feet! The spectacular event was filled with carols, captivating music, and a sense of joy and community spirit.

A Stellar Performance:

The performers shone under the direction of Hannah Sandu, leading the Durrington Community Choir, and John Ashton Jones, the conductor for Durrington Walls Wind Band. A special nod goes to Peter Eve, whose dedication as a player and organiser played a pivotal role in the concert's success.

Community Generosity:

Sue Paines deserves special recognition for her efforts in raising £150 through a raffle to support Christmas presents for Durrington Ward at Salisbury District Hospital—a beautiful gesture of holiday kindness.

A Team Effort:

Thanks are extended to Avon Valley Academy for providing the venue and to the many behind-the-scenes volunteers who offered refreshments and contributed to creating the perfect festive atmosphere.

A Packed Hall:

Photos captured the enthusiastic audience as they joined in with the carols and enjoyed a thoughtfully programme of music that truly hit the mark.

This event highlights the power of music to bring people together and is a brilliant way to kick off the holiday season. Congratulations to everyone involved for making it such a resounding success! 🎄
