The Friday Club..

My acknowledgement to Durrington Day Centre 'The Friday Club' In recent literature, I unintentionally overlooked mentioning one of the pivotal groups in Durrington, led by Sue Paines, Wendy Parsons, and other dedicated volunteers. Here’s an article to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of the Friday Club. Pictured at the heart of it are the dedicated volunteers who ensure the weekly gatherings are filled with joy for its 25 regular attendees. With games, refreshments, raffles, bingo, and lunch, along with transport arrangements whenever possible, this lifeline serves villagers of all ages, including the eldest member at 106. The atmosphere is warm, filled with laughter, chatter, and a profound sense of wellbeing. Like many volunteer groups in Durrington, the Friday Club welcomes new members to join their efforts.
